Council approved an interlocal agreement (ILA) with the city of Schertz to have Schertz act as project manager on a railroad crossing safety study for which a grant application was approved. Staff said Schertz is managing the project for multiple cities and the ILA establishes billing and engineering payment arrangements; Universal City staff will meet with Schertz staff to finalize and insert Universal City's details into the agreement.
Council voted in favor of the ILA; staff said after Schertz finalizes its approvals the agreement will be completed and the cities will coordinate work and invoicing under the grant framework.
