Universal City officials announced on June 2 that FrontierWay Solutions will begin once‑a‑week residential trash collection, including weekly bulk and brush pickup, starting Monday, Aug. 3. City Manager Kim Turner said residents will receive informational mailers and that the city will host two identical public meetings — June 17 and July 1 at 6:30 p.m. — to explain the new service and answer questions.
Chris Fox, executive with FrontierWay, said the company will publish service details online and make call‑center support available. "We have a website that will have all of the information listed for this contract," Fox said, adding a customer number and that an app is available for scheduling and questions. Turner said residents will receive four postcards and a Gateway newsletter with details and that informational videos will be posted on UCTV and the city's Facebook page.
