During the May 11 public-comment period, Mary **** of 373 Taverner Lane described persistent and hazardous on-street parking related to informal youth soccer activity behind the baseball field. "It's a ridiculous situation," she said, describing cars parked three deep, drivers pulling into driveways and an ice-cream truck stopping on the street. She asked the council to direct the park leader to require patrons to use the Jobson Park parking lot and to consider signage or fencing.
The council thanked the resident for raising the concern and asked staff to consider options; one councilmember suggested staff could prioritize signage or fencing in the field-reservation project sequencing. No action was taken at the meeting; council requested the matter be placed on a future staff agenda so members could review potential operational and capital options.
