THDA Board delays vote on 2027 Qualified Allocation Plan until July

The Tennessee Housing Development Agency Board of Directors postponed action on the agency’s 2027 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) and will consider adoption at its July meeting. Eric Alexander, Director of Multifamily Programs, summarized the draft and reported on responses to public comments before the Board agreed not to take a vote in May.
The QAP governs allocation priorities for Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and can affect where developers apply for 9% credits. Alexander also discussed locations of 2026 9% tax credit applications during his update. The Board’s decision to delay gives staff time to consider public feedback and any needed revisions before a formal vote in July.
