Stafford MSD highlights autism acceptance, parents call for inclusion and district support

A parent engagement leader asked the board to remain "intentional about focusing on students with disabilities, ensuring they are seen, supported, and given the opportunity to succeed." Trustees offered to partner on outreach — one suggested using the district's Educational Plaza for an autism-awareness day that would combine community activities and student inclusion opportunities.
Speakers also highlighted specific district activities: the "Love for All" panel and a family night at We Rock the Spectrum; early-STEM classroom adaptations to include students with differing motor skills; and requests for board members to attend campus events and welcome families.
