Stafford board approves Dr. Robert Bostic’s retirement agreement and plans plaza dedication

The Stafford Municipal School District Board of Trustees on April 13 unanimously approved a retirement and release agreement for Superintendent Dr. Robert Robert Bostic with an effective retirement date of April 20, 2026. Trustee Hanejosa moved the motion to approve the agreement and a second was recorded; the motion passed 7–0.

Trustees and community members used the meeting to publicly honor Bostic’s tenure. President Hamarani and several trustees described his influence on district programming and student opportunities, and the board announced plans to rename the campus Educational Plaza the Robert Bostick Educational Plaza to recognize his legacy. Trustee Hanejosa read the motion to the board: "I move that the board of trustees approve the retirement and release agreement with doctor Robert Bostick as presented in a retirement date of 04/20/2026." The board recorded unanimous approval.

Dr. Bostic, who was surprised by the presentation and tributes, thanked attendees and said he did not feel he "deserve[d] the accolades" he had heard that evening, and invited the community to join a scholarship-focused farewell event he plans to host for students. The board confirmed the personnel action during the meeting's action items and the vote was entered on the record 7–0.
