Resident says Lomond sewer work left yard and tree concerns; asks for better city communication

A resident who said she signed an easement for a Lomond sewer project described months of disruption and a lack of communication from city contractors. The speaker said a large trench with metal shoring sat for months, pumps ran through the winter and the yard has not been restored as promised. She said she was told the approach changed from an open-trench plan to putting the new sewer in the street and she learned via social media that trees might be removed.

She asked the council to keep trees in place and to improve direct communication with residents most impacted by the work. The speaker said promises about cleanup had not been fulfilled and expressed frustration with inconsistent updates and long delays. Mayor and staff acknowledged the comment and said questions could be followed up after the meeting.
