KDOT to hold public meetings on US‑54/83 realignment; staff, property owners invited

County staff urged property owners who expect to be affected to sign up for one‑on‑one time slots; the meeting and open house were presented as opportunities to review proposed designs and ask questions of KDOT staff and consultants. Commissioners were informed that those meetings and public comment opportunities will also be posted on the county website and social channels.
Staff did not report a project timeline for property acquisitions; Linehan said right‑of‑way acquisition and appraisal work is ongoing for other local projects (Setanta Cutoff box extension) and that some acquisitions can be slow when land ownership changes.
