Assistant City Manager Kate Gunja described the two displays — each roughly 17 feet wide by 10 feet tall — and said one will be wall-mounted in the pavilion and the other mounted in the plaza so patrons can see announcements, movies and event information. She told the council the systems have been reviewed by IT for security and that pricing uses the TIPS cooperative purchasing agreement with an additional discount; funding comes from the Clock Tower Landing project budget. "We are returning this evening to you with that contract for services," city manager Lori Curtis Luther had said earlier when introducing the item.
The council moved and seconded approval of the Musco Sports Lighting LLC agreement for the video walls in an amount not to exceed $179,144.66; the vote was recorded as unanimous. A ribbon cutting for Clock Tower Landing is scheduled for Friday, June 5.
