The Waller County Commissioners Court voted April 29 to rename portions of Robin Hood Lane in the Maplewood Section 2 subdivision, following a staff presentation and a public hearing. Ross, the county staff member presenting the plan, told the court the change will convert one portion to Robin Hood Court and another to King Richard Court to simplify a five-legged intersection and reroute a collector away from adjacent residential properties. "There’s no change in existing addresses; we’re just changing the street name so that everything is consistent," Ross said.
The court opened the hearing at 9:24 a.m., allowed public questions, and then approved the renaming with a motion and second. Commissioners heard that driveway access and right-of-way arrangements will remain in place and that one intersection will become a roundabout as part of the related development. The court recorded the vote as carried and moved on to the next agenda item.
