Nancy Dennis, identified as vice president of real estate for Clear Channel Outdoor, told the council the company had submitted ordinance language and a development agreement after meeting with the mayor and apologized if the submission bypassed staff review. City legal and staff said a correct ordinance change may be required to amend the sign code before the development agreement can be approved; council directed staff and counsel to prepare corrected documents and to bring an ordinance-change item and the agreement back at the next meeting so permits can move forward. The council did not approve the agreement tonight and instead agreed to return the item with ordinance revisions.
