Police Chief Troy Weaver told council the department collected over 20 pounds of medications during last Saturday's drug take-back, noting the amount was low compared with prior years. He also reported a spill of a blue pond treatment additive of approximately one quarter of a gallon; the substance was not harmful and the Ohio EPA was notified.
No related public-safety actions or exposures were reported. Council did not take further action on the matter during the meeting; administration and the police department will monitor for any follow-up from the OEPA.
