Council heard from residents proposing a weekly Farmer’s Market at the Elks/Tito parking lot, to operate Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. from May through October. Residents Caitlin Duncan and Erin Slusher reported that the Elks are agreeable to the market and its site-use conditions, including restroom access.
Administrator Peter Them said the village will send a letter of intent to the organizers and the Planning Commission will take the matter up at its March 25 meeting and then forward a recommendation to Council. “ELKS are good with all their requests and requirements for Farmer’s Market including use of the restroom facilities,” Duncan and Slusher stated for the record. The council did not take formal action at the March 2 meeting and left further review to the Planning Commission.
