Robert (county staff) told the court that development agreements and a negotiated $1.5 million donation tied to a solar farm could provide funding for park improvements, and commissioners instructed staff to confirm timing and conditions for those funds.
The court also approved the Flukinger Road development agreement for a 191-acre subdivision at the Flukinger & Cameron Road intersection. The agreement caps lots under 50 feet at 40% and obligates the developer to build portions of Cameron Road and contribute proportional costs toward county mobility projects and detention needs. "For all lots under 5,000 square feet, the developer will pay a $4 per square foot contribution to the county to go to county parks," staff said.
Commissioners discussed using developer contributions to help pay for Flukinger and related connectivity projects and asked staff to return with details on the timing of pledged donations.
