Tradition Trees granted temporary license to store firewood on DDA land at 12155 Irvendale Way
Summary
The Chamblee DDA authorized a revocable license letting Tradition Trees use a fenced portion of DDA property (upper lot) at or near 12155 Irvendale Way for firewood storage during tank removal; the motion passed unanimously Aug. 19.
A committee member moved and the board approved a revocable license agreement allowing Tradition Trees, Inc. to use a fenced, upper portion of DDA property — including a paved parking area — for temporary storage of firewood inventory while underground-storage tanks on the leased area are removed.
The Chair said the license lets the tenant use the DDA’s fenced area “in lieu of the property for which they’re leasing,” minimizing disruption to Tradition Trees’ business while tank removal and testing proceed. The motion to authorize and allow the Chair to execute related documents was seconded and passed unanimously.
No public comments were recorded during the meeting; DDA staff were assigned follow-up to finalize the license terms and coordinate site logistics with the tenant and contractor.
