City Engineer Ryan Cummins briefed Council on Resolution No. R‑1‑26 to advertise for bids for the Chester Road resurfacing project (LOR MR 4313‑0.33, PID 120604). Cummins said the project previously came before Council to approve an agreement with ODOT; funding is expected to be 80% by NOACA—up to a little over $734,000—and 20% local funds, and the advertising step will allow the city to solicit bids and later return with a recommendation to award or reject the lowest and best bid.
Cummins also noted ongoing scope meetings with ODOT and that the project will include resurfacing and concrete repairs; Council will see bid results and an award recommendation after the advertisement and bid evaluation process.
