Council to extend moratorium on short‑term rentals while Ohio finalizes state rules

John Gasior, Law Director, recommended the moratorium extension and noted that state law changes could affect local authority and regulatory approach. He advised the Council the moratorium would give staff time to prepare code updates aligned with HB109, and cautioned that any local policy must be considered in light of impending state rules.
