A furniture committee reported it had narrowed about 10–12 vendors to four finalists for secondary and elementary school furniture, and staff asked teachers and parents to participate in trials and feedback surveys at Collegiate Academy High School and the Joe Lynn Maddox Center. The committee asked teachers to sit on the furniture, test it, and complete a survey during professional development or open‑house hours.
District communications said large foam‑board signs with QR codes will be available during the events so teachers can submit feedback and parents can view options in the evenings. "Those four vendors are being represented at the Collegiate Academy High School for secondary furniture options and at the Joe Lynn Maddox Center for elementary furniture options," said the furniture committee member presenting the item. The committee will use teacher and parent feedback to inform its final vendor recommendation to the board.
