At the public-comment portion of the Cedar Hill ISD board meeting, a resident introduced to the board as Kim Anderson asked the district to extend operation hours for nine parking-lot luminaires at Waterford Oaks Elementary from midnight through 4 a.m. to deter nighttime activity near a new playground area.
Anderson described living across from the parking lot and said she observed cars in the back area between midnight and 4 a.m.; she estimated the additional electricity cost at about $394.20 and offered to pay half that amount. Board members thanked her and said staff would follow up on the request and logistics for security lighting.
