DDA approves city use of two lots for Chamblee Chalk Walk event Sept. 19–22

The DDA granted the City of Chamblee permission to use two DDA lots—3519 Broad Street and 2161 Urbandale Way—for the Chamblee Chalk Walk event. Ashley said staff had notified nearby businesses and that the restroom trailer would occupy part of Broad Street from Sept. 19–22, with the event day being Sept. 20 and Broad Street closed for that day.
The motion to approve city use of the lots for the event was moved and passed unanimously. Ashley said the lots are unused during that weekend and that the request is mainly administrative to ensure permits and staging are authorized.
Board members did not request additional conditions beyond prior business notifications. The approval allows event staging and vendor/staff parking per the city's request.
