The board received a January 2026 financial report from the finance staff showing the district’s cash and cash equivalents at $69,000,000.6 and investments and receivables totaling $16,400,000 at cost basis. The finance speaker said the fiscal-year-to-date investment income was "right at a $178,000" and that an unrealized gain of $742,000 accounted for differences between the balance sheet and account statements.
The finance presentation also noted sweep-account income of $585,000 for the fiscal year and that general-fund revenues are running above the simple pro rata expectation (reporting 39% through the fourth month of the fiscal year). Trustees did not alter the budget during the meeting; the report included an attached detailed portfolio analysis and staff invited questions before moving to the consent agenda.
