The Lewistown City Commission approved Resolution No. 4196 on Aug. 4, declaring the Commission’s intent to amend the 2024–2025 budget to account for unanticipated expenses and revenues, primarily donations, grants and general account cleanup. City Manager Phelps explained that, if the resolution is adopted, the City Clerk will publish notice and a public hearing on the budget amendment will be scheduled for the next Commission meeting.
Commissioner Spika moved to approve Resolution No. 4196 and Commissioner Hewitt seconded. There was no public comment and the Clerk took a roll call vote with all commissioners present voting in favor of publishing the notice and setting the public hearing. The budget amendment specifics will be presented at the public hearing, and the resolution directs staff to prepare the detailed account adjustments for Commission consideration.
