The Library Director reviewed upcoming programming and summer-reading preparations, telling the board she attached the April calendar and that story time runs through nearly the end of April.
She said a tea-tasting event the previous evening went well and previewed an upcoming "double digits and team takeover" Nintendo Switch event for kids. "All of the prizes have been ordered and delivered and sorted and repackaged," the Library Director said, adding that reading logs and other materials for summer reading are nearly complete. She described outreach options to local schools, including contacting school librarians or producing a short video to distribute to classrooms if in-person visits prove difficult.
The director also noted the library has a work-study student, Clara, who has been assisting across tasks and will complete her term; the director called Clara "very helpful."
