Council to consider reappointment, new Parks appointment; community group announces events

Mayor Koomar announced a reappointment and a new appointment to be acted on at the Regular Meeting: Thomas Wynne has been reappointed to the Civil Service Commission for a six-year term expiring January 24, 2032, and Julia Mosier was appointed to the Recreation Commission for a term expiring January 5, 2030.
Sara Byrnes Maier said she will move to confirm the reappointment of Thomas Wynne at the Regular Meeting; Law Director Mark Barbour endorsed Wynne's service, saying he has done an "excellent job" on the Civil Service Commission. Recreation Director Dan Enovitch described Julia Mosier as a long-time resident, the head swim team coach and a member of the Bay High School swim staff, and Mr. Rettig indicated he will move to confirm her appointment.
During public comment, Nancy Brown of "For the Love of Bay Village Dogs" announced an April 16 presentation by Sharon Hardy of the Cleveland Animal Protective League, a spring microchipping and licensing event planned with the Police Chief, and a Pet First Aid class produced with a volunteer firefighter. Brown also said the group will sponsor Monica Robbins for BayDays.
