Board OKs sale of two parcels and adds Lacey Enrollment Center to Core contract at no cost

Miss West presented two properties the district believes are no longer needed for educational purposes and recommended adopting resolutions authorizing the superintendent to sell them. Dr. Chiquita Higa moved to approve the resolution for 900 South Joe Wilson Road; Trustee Ross Bacon seconded and the board approved the sale. Trustee Carmen Morgan then moved to approve the resolution for 975 Pickard; a second was recorded and the board approved that sale as well.
The board also approved an amendment to Core Construction Services' contract to include the Lacey Enrollment Center in the project description. Administration characterized the change as a no-cost change order for legal/contract purposes; the motion to approve the amendment passed unanimously. Trustees asked clarifying questions about how Lacey was omitted previously and were told the inclusion had been inadvertently missed from the earlier consent/contract packet and is being corrected now.
