Board approves MOU for behavior services, Saks gym architect agreement, principal contracts and personnel actions

The board approved an MOU with a behavior consulting firm to provide services for severe behavioral cases and authorized an architect agreement for the Saks High School gym roofing project, which the superintendent said is needed to prevent further damage to the old gym. "It is leaking at the point that we fear that if we do not go ahead and move forward on this, there'll be more extensive damage," the superintendent said when presenting the architect agreement.

Separately, the board approved several personnel-related items: resignations, retirements, new employments and transfers; three-year principal contracts intended to retain leadership; and a contract for student support services at Alexander Elementary. All items were presented under the consent or tabbed agenda, motions were made and each passed by voice vote according to the transcript.
