Council approves Meadowmere East fence variance with site-plan condition

During the public-hearing portion of the meeting, proponents spoke in favor of the fence variance at 2750 Meadowmere East. Neighbor Marlon Hargrove, who lives at 2752 Meadowmere, said he had supported the project for two years and that the improvements would enhance the neighborhood.
Council member Stovall moved to approve variances 1 and 2 with the condition that construction be in substantial conformity with the site plan dated and received by planning on 05/28/2025; the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously to approve. The staff-recommended condition was included in the motion.
"They're going to make our 40- and 50-year-old neighborhood look pretty," neighbor Marlon Hargrove said in support of the application. Council recorded the motion, second and unanimous vote.
