Council unanimously appoints Naomi Brown as interim elections superintendent

Staff presented the resolution and asked the council to adopt it that evening. Council moved, seconded and approved the measure without recorded opposition. The motion to add the item to the agenda was also approved unanimously earlier in the meeting.
The resolution is procedural: it designates Brown to act in an emergency or temporary absence. The council did not discuss compensation or term length at the meeting; staff did not present additional implementation details. The mayor closed the item after the vote, and staff will include the appointment paperwork in the Tuesday meeting packet.
