Board elects president and vice president at annual Calhoun County meeting

At its annual meeting the Calhoun County Board re-elected its president and selected a vice president by voice vote; the board then approved the meeting agenda and moved on to recognitions and consent business.
The Calhoun County Board of Education held its annual meeting and elected its officers for the coming year. A nomination for board president was made from the floor and, after no other nominations were offered, the board approved the nominee by voice vote. "All in favor, aye?" the chair asked; members responded and the chair declared the motion carried.
The board then moved to select a vice president. After a nomination and no additional nominations, members again approved the motion by voice vote and congratulated the newly elected vice president. The chair subsequently called for approval of the meeting agenda, which the board approved without opposition.
