Board awards Pleasant Valley athletic-field bid to Boatner Construction

The board reviewed a proposed bid award for the Pleasant Valley High School baseball and softball field upgrades and approved the recommendation to accept the lowest responsive bid from Boatner Construction of Gadsden.
"These were the lowest bidders, it's out of Gadsden, the Boatner Construction," the superintendent said while presenting the recommendation. The motion to approve the bid award was made and carried by voice vote. The administration will proceed to finalize the award and schedule the work in coordination with the capital projects plan and available funding.
Board members heard that the bid was part of the packet (Tab 17) and that approval would allow the project to move to contracting and mobilization. No opposition was recorded.
