Fiscal Review postpones Department of Corrections contract pending staff answers

Yeager told the committee "no company should be eligible for a new contract or contract extension in the same service if the company has been penalized by a state agency for significant violations in that service for the past 5 years." The committee approved the postponement by voice vote and directed staff to follow up.
The committee's action defers a final decision until staff receives clearer responses from Corrections; members also asked the executive director to pull a prior contract for review in light of concerns about past penalties.
