Harris addressed the board after the vote, thanking his family and district leaders and outlining his goals. He said he had moved his family to the district to be part of the program and pledged to “keep pushing our core values, our standard of behavior, our mission statement to make these guys be champions in all areas of life, not just football.” He also listed recent team achievements and recruitment successes, noting three early signees to college programs and several returning starters.
