President Gary Gracia announced the board was removing agenda item 4.3, the Girls Inc. memorandum of understanding, from the consent agenda and that it would be brought back at the next meeting. ‘‘We are removing item number 4.3 Girls Inc. Memorandum of understanding from this week's consent agenda; it'll be brought back at the next meeting,’’ he said.
Trustee Dr. Latanya Wilson Mayfield moved to approve the remainder of the consent agenda with item 4.3 removed; Trustee Kalisha Stevenson seconded the motion and the board voted to approve the consent agenda as amended. No substantive discussion of the memorandum’s terms occurred on the record; the board indicated the item will be returned for further consideration at a later date.
