The presenter said she removed references to a state code because, after checking with the city attorney, South Dakota appears to have no comparable statewide library code of ethics.
Board members discussed the draft and agreed minor edits could be handled administratively; the policy was approved by motion and voice vote. The director said the policy will be filed and included in the regular policy review schedule required by state standards.
