District construction update: Tonopah Elementary nears completion; multiple roofing and HVAC projects planned

District facilities staff told the board on Oct. 16 that several capital and maintenance projects are underway across Nye County.
Director of Maintenance Nate Cardinal reported Tonopah Elementary is nearing completion with accent painting planned next, and that the coalition roof was approximately 80% complete. Upcoming work includes roof replacements at Pathways and Tonopah, upgrades at the Tonopah sports complex, new softball bleachers at Pahrump Valley High School (PVHS), fire alarm infrastructure work for modular units at JG and MCES, refrigerator and freezer replacements at Beatty High School, Tonopah High School, Manse and JG, and a full HVAC replacement at Hafen Elementary.
Cardinal’s update mapped current project statuses and near‑term plans for procurement and contractor scheduling.
