Crowley ISD to install interactive display boards in Phase 1 classrooms; staff training planned

Bradley Parker, executive director over digital learning, demonstrated a BenQ Pro 75-inch unit and outlined the district's Phase 1 installation plan for interactive display boards. He said Phase 1 covers multiple elementary, middle and high school campuses and that crews expect installations to be complete by the first day of school.
"When the 1st day of school rolls around, we should be finished with the installation of phase 1 of this 3 phase project," Parker said, then walked trustees through features including an "Easy Write" whiteboard function, language packages, on-board saving to district AMS files or Google Drive, and a set of training options for staff.
Parker provided deployment details: 182 65-inch wall-mounted displays destined for elementary classrooms, mounted displays for secondary classrooms, and several 86-inch mobile carts for immediate use. The Department of Digital Learning and Library Services will deliver a four-tier training program that includes full-campus face-to-face trainings, on-demand remote modules, scheduled 1:1 support and regular newsletter tips.
Trustees and administrators praised the technology, asked how instruction will be supported and noted plans to continue professional development throughout the year. The district said new staff orientation already used the boards and that operational support will be available throughout the school year.
Next steps: complete Phase 1 installations ahead of Aug. 12 and roll out the district's teacher training schedule.
