The Highland Heights City Council convened a special meeting on Jan. 6 to confirm Mayor Chuck Brunello's appointments and reappointments to the city's boards and commissions. Council member Mr. DeLisio moved to confirm the slate and Mr. Goff seconded; the motion carried with all members recorded as voting in favor.
Mayor Brunello announced several specific placements: James Smith was noted for the Tax Incentive Review & CRA Council; Linda Citraro was named to the Commission on Aging; Dustin Pejot was listed for the Economic Development Committee; Nikki Rucci and Brian Murphy were named to the Community Day Committee; and Paul Schiffman was designated as Highland Heights' representative to the Cuyahoga County Airport Noise Abatement Committee. The special meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. after the confirmations.
The minutes record the confirmation motion as unanimous. Where the minutes list inconsistent spellings for one appointee (appearing as both "Pejot" and "Peugot" in different segments), the council minutes record the appointment without a further public discussion recorded that evening.
