Harrison swears in four new council members; Dole named vice mayor

Mayor Ryan Grubbs swore in William Neyer, Edward Whitt, Patty Van Cleve and Tanner Dole at the Harrison City Council meeting on Jan. 6, 2026. The council immediately conducted roll call and approved the Dec. 16, 2025 meeting minutes on a motion by Jean Wilson, seconded by Tony Egner (Roll Call: All Yea).
After the swearing-in, Councilmember Ryan Samuels moved to appoint Tanner Dole as vice mayor; Jean Wilson seconded the motion. The appointment passed on a recorded vote of 6 yeas and 1 abstention (Mr. Dole abstained). The meeting record shows brief congratulatory remarks from the Law Director and several council members following the formal actions. The council adjourned after routine reports and member remarks.
