Frenship ISD honors students across athletics, CTE and student government

The Frenship ISD Board of Trustees spent a substantial portion of its May 18 meeting recognizing student achievements across campuses and programs. The board honored Speech & Debate competitors who advanced to UIL State Congress, multiple athletic teams (tennis, golf, wrestling, soccer, track), robotics teams that advanced to state and earned the Engineering Inspiration award, esports teams that qualified for the Texas state championship, and Business Professionals of America students who qualified for state and national competition (including a national champion).
Coaches, sponsors and students briefly introduced themselves and thanked the board. Examples recorded in the transcript include a robotics coach presenting team FRC 11200, students who said they placed among the top competitors at state BPA events, and coaches describing state qualifiers and record-breaking relay teams. The meeting also recognized the Unified Track and Field program’s state and national awards and named students selected as official unified liaisons to represent Texas at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota.
