Head volleyball coach Amy Mangum listed eight athletes who earned academic All‑State distinctions and praised the seniors’ leadership.
Taylor and district staff also described the district’s "Cheddar Together" fundraiser in partnership with the South Plains Food Bank, which set a $28,800 target intended to "fill a semi with mac and cheese for 82,000 boxes." Taylor said the drive reached $6,600 before an anonymous donor pledged to finish the fundraiser if community donations reached $10,000; staff reported the district surpassed the goal and reached $28,800.
The board applauded the students and staff for the recognitions and the community for the fundraising effort.
