The Kingsford City Council approved invoices payable from Jan. 6 to Jan. 20, 2026, totaling $331,178.76. The motion to approve the invoices was made by Councilmember Dixon-Miller and seconded by Freeman; the motion carried unanimously.
As part of consent and manager's report actions, the council approved a training request for Treasurer Holly Palmer to attend eight Michigan Municipal Treasurer's Association virtual Treasurer-to-Treasurer sessions (bundle cost $99). The council also approved Assistant City Clerk Tanya Hiltonen's request to attend a one-day Upper Peninsula Human Resource Association seminar in Marquette on April 23, 2026 (early bird price $70), finding the training would support her certification maintenance. Manager Michael Stelmaszek additionally reported OSHA Form 300A for 2025 showed no work-related injuries for city employees.
