City Manager Michael Stelmaszek responded that "the city welcomes Eagle Scout projects and improvements to the city," and said he would meet with Marotz to review plans and address logistical questions. Mayor Groeneveld later wished Marotz well with the project during councilmembers' privilege remarks. The council did not take formal action on the proposal at the Jan. 5 meeting; the manager will meet with Marotz to determine next steps.
