The Stafford Municipal School District board voted unanimously, 7–0, on April 20 to approve an employment contract for Dr. Adam Stevens as the district's new superintendent. President Hamarani called for the motion and, after a second, the board adopted the contract without dissent.
Dr. Stevens spoke to the board and community after the vote, thanking outgoing leadership and describing time spent visiting schools and meeting staff and families. "I am deeply committed to keeping our students at the center of every decision that we make," he said, adding that he plans to be visible in schools and the community. The board offered public congratulations and brief remarks about the hiring process; President Hamarani said the board spent about 62.5 hours in the superintendent search process. The contract takes effect following the normal administrative steps; the board provided keys and a public welcome at the meeting.
