Commissioner Strickland told the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee on Jan. 13 that the Nye County Lands Bill "is moving forward," and announced 2025 grants for public-land projects totaling $1,011,000.
Strickland announced the Off Highway Vehicle Park Experience received $700,000 for a new well, the Southside Trailhead received $111,000, and the Northside Trailhead received $200,000. He also said the Nye County Solar Consortium Recreation will meet Jan. 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. and is seeking members.
The announcement was made during the meeting’s announcements period; the committee took no formal vote on the grants during the Jan. 13 meeting. The information is the county’s reported award amounts as stated by Commissioner Strickland to the committee.
