CIC amends code of regulations (Resolution 2026-01) and confirms two trustee appointments

The Community Improvement Corporation board voted to approve Resolution 2026-01, which amends Articles 1, 4 and 14 of the CIC code of regulations to modernize language, permit the board president to set the annual meeting timing and explicitly reflect the CIC's nonprofit status under the Ohio Revised Code.
Staff (S2) reviewed the proposed side-by-side changes and said most adjustments bring the code into alignment with contemporary governance language. Chair (S1) asked for a motion; "Motion by Trustee Burns," S1 said, and the motion received a second from Trustee Iaconis. The board approved the resolution by voice vote; S1 declared, "Resolution passes."
At the start of new business the board also acknowledged the appointment of Amy Kapastasi as the Executive Director of the Euclid Chamber of Commerce to the CIC board and recognized Katie Iaconis (Director of Finance, City of Euclid) as the finance director seat on the board. Trustees moved and approved a separate motion to appoint Katie Iaconis as secretary-treasurer (motion by Trustee Jaros, second by Trustee Hannam).
