The finance committee advanced Ordinance 26‑01, a proposed contract for computer services with Snavi LLC, to second reading and returned the measure to committee for further consideration. Committee staff said the two contracts combined total $159,000 and that the agreement includes regular on‑site support and a limited amount of expedited service annually.
Henry (staff member), who discussed the proposal with councilors, said the package includes “up to 12 hours a week” of enterprise managed technology support with “a predetermined day of on‑site support every week” and “up to 10 hours of goals expedited service annually.” He added that the contract follows a standard model used with multiple cities but will specify weekly on‑site coverage and defined timeframes for response. When a councilor asked about extra charges, Henry said incidents occurring outside normal 8 a.m.–5 p.m. business hours can be additional billable hours and noted that the police department’s 24‑hour operations are the most likely source of after‑hours calls for catastrophic issues.
Council moved the ordinance to second reading by unanimous voice/roll call. Council members present recorded affirmative votes from Lang, Minnick, Greenfield, King, Waring and Mann, and S2 announced the ordinance had been returned to committee and placed on second read. The committee did not adopt a final contract tonight; staff encouraged councilors to submit any further questions before the vendor attends the next committee meeting for additional discussion.
