Euclid staff: Lakeshore Chevy site RFP in development with Cuyahoga Land Bank, Cleveland partners

Staff member (S2) updated trustees on the Lakeshore Chevy property, saying Euclid staff, Cleveland staff and the Cuyahoga Land Bank met on Feb. 17 to review earlier RFP work and market study and that the land bank is consolidating information to prepare a new RFP for the full 2.5-acre site.
"The staff at Cuyahoga Land Bank is currently taking all of that information and those conversations, to develop the request for proposal for the full site... I'm gonna I'm gonna guess spring or summer of this year," S2 said. A board member (speaker S3) asked whether all Euclid parcels are city-owned; staff clarified Euclid parcels are owned but some parcels on the Cleveland side remain privately owned and the land bank is pursuing acquisition to create a single owner for development purposes.
Staff emphasized there is enough contiguous land for substantial development without the privately owned parcels but that acquiring those parcels would be "icing on the cake," and said the RFP timing remains subject to the land bank's acquisition progress.
