The Counseling Professionals, Board of Licensure voted to set complaint 2025-COU-21022 for an adjudicatory hearing and also to offer a consent agreement in lieu of hearing. The motion was made by Angela Blier and seconded by Lisa-Ann Henry. The board cited Board rules Chapter 8-A 2(1)(B) (Client Relationships, Dual Relationship) and 3(5) (Competence) and proposed sanctions that include a censure and a 30-day suspension for each violation, totaling 90 days. The motion passed 5-0.
Separately, on complaint compliance item 2025-COU-21038 the board (motion by Jennifer King; seconded by Angela Blier) accepted continuing-education certificates submitted by a licensee and ended that person’s probation, and directed staff to remind the licensee that future continuing education must comply with Board Rules Chapter 7-A. Vote: 5 in favor.
