Dave Powell, chair of Zoning, Planning & Environment, reported that several issues had been raised about the site plan for the Skyworks development and assigned to his committee for further review. Powell said he consulted Randy Cook in the zoning department, who confirmed the site plan was reviewed and approved prior to Powell’s appointment.
Powell said he conferred with Safety & Service Director Patrick Ross and Law Director Dave Stevenson; Stevenson confirmed that, because the site plan had already been approved by the city, there were no administrative remedies to undo past approvals. Powell said the episode should serve as a lesson to be more diligent in future site‑plan reviews.
