Assistant Service Director Mike Testa told Council that Ordinance 26-012 authorizes payments to the Medina County Solid Waste District for municipal disposal costs. Testa said the current tipping fee is $55 per ton and that the ordinance’s budgeted $1,330,000 would cover approximately 24,180 tons of disposal in 2026.
Council Members moved the ordinance forward so sanitation services would continue without interruption; the matter was presented as an annual operating expense tied to solid-waste collection and disposal budgets.
